The Rajkiya Engineering College, Azamgarh

Established by the Uttar Pradesh government in 2010 and affiliated with AKTU, REC Azamgarh offers B.Tech programs in Civil, Mechanical, and Information Technology, each with 60 seats. Located on a 30-acre rural campus, it shares a heritage of government-run engineering education. Infrastructure includes academic blocks, hostels, laboratories, sports facilities, and student activity centers. While placement performance is modest compared to metropolitan colleges, some students receive offers in IT or local firms, with average packages around ₹3–4 LPA and top offers up to ₹8–10 LPA. REC’s niche lies in affordable government-backed technical education, reserved seat policies, and steady academic governance as a rural uplift institution under AKTU.
