UCEH — the flagship constituent college under JNTU Hyderabad — was established in 1965 within the university’s Kukatpally campus. As a government autonomous engineering college, it holds NAAC A grade and NBA accreditation. UCEH provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and dual-degree programs in a wide range of engineering disciplines including core and emerging fields. Its modern infrastructure includes research centers, collaborative labs, and industry-linked academic blocks. Placement performance is solid, with around 73% placement in 2024, and median undergraduate package near ₹9.4 LPA. Although recent governance issues led to cutting seats in chemical and geoinformatics due to faculty shortages, UCEH remains among Hyderabad’s top public engineering institutes, offering stable academics and research transition under the NEP model.
