Launched in 2008, BITS Hyderabad is a 275‑acre suburban campus located near Secunderabad in Telangana. Fully residential, it houses around 5,400 students across engineering, sciences, pharmacy, business, and humanities disciplines in integrated and postgraduate programs. The campus infrastructure includes air-conditioned lecture theaters, research labs, auditorium, student activity center, and sports facilities. BITS Hyderabad maintains the same merit-level admission based on BITSAT and curriculum as other BITS campuses. It hosts advanced research projects supported by DST, DBT, ISRO, TIFR, and IIT Bombay collaborations. A wind tunnel facility (Nalini Kurra Wind Tunnel) adds to its aerospace research offerings. Its student-fests such as Pearl (culture), Atmos (tech), and Verba Maximus (literary) are nationally acclaimed. Placement performance is competitive, with strong recruitment in core and IT sectors, and placement outcomes often approaching those of Goa campus. Hyderabad is recognized for rapid growth in innovation, research infrastructure, and interdisciplinary academic culture on par with BITS’s global mission.
