National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand

Established in 2009 and fully recognized as an Institute of National Importance, NIT Uttarakhand operates from a temporary campus at Srinagar (Garhwal) with a permanent campus under development at Sumari. It offers B.Tech in CSE, EEE, ECE, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering, as well as M.Tech and Ph.D. programs. Ranked in the 101–150 range in NIRF, the institute is gradually building infrastructure and academic outreach. Though placement statistics remain modest, it is still considered preferable to many private engineering colleges, as students benefit from national-level academics. NIT Uttarakhand is promising for students seeking technical education in a developing institution within the Himalayan region.
