National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh

Founded in 2010, NIT-AP in Jote, Papum Pare district, is one of India’s newer NITs. It is designated as an Institute of National Importance and offers B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. programs in core engineering disciplines. Located in a remote hilly region, the institute is still developing infrastructure, and student reviews mention infrastructure and connectivity challenges. In 2024, placement rates stood around 54–73%, with average packages near ₹8–10 LPA and top offers ranging ₹14–24 LPA from recruiters including IT firms, public sector utilities, and engineering companies. While ranked in the 101–150 band nationally by NIRF, the institute continues infrastructure expansion. NIT Arunachal Pradesh is suited for students seeking national exposure combined with scenic and transformative academic environment in India’s Northeast.
