Established in 2015 in Tadepalligudem, NIT-AP became fully operational on its own 178-acre campus by 2020. As an Institute of National Importance, it delivers undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs in core and emerging fields like Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Science, and Engineering Physics. The campus, built on a former airstrip, features modern infrastructure including research labs, smart classrooms, and expansive hostel blocks connected by a wide central road. Focused on sustainable design and regional development, NIT-AP is growing rapidly with strong MoUs, multidisciplinary research centers, and budding placement infrastructure. Though placement data is still establishing, early outcomes show median offers around ₹8–10 LPA with top offers exceeding ₹20 LPA. With its modern facilities and strategic location, NIT Andhra Pradesh is quickly becoming a key institution among India’s new-generation NITs.
