Founded in 2015 by the Madhya Pradesh government, UIT Jhabua (recently renamed in Dr. Kalam’s honor) is a public engineering college located in Jhabua near the Indore–Ahmedabad route. The campus sits on around 35 acres and offers B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and Mechanical Engineering (capacity ~120 each). Affiliated to RGPV, the institute is relatively small but government-backed. With a focus on rural access to technical education, the institute is still developing infrastructure and placement systems. UIT Jhabua aims to build regional academic credibility with growth in student intake and gradual expansion of labs, innovation and government scholarship programs.
