Evolving from the 1962-established regional engineering college, MMMUT became a residential state technical university in 2013. Hosting approximately 930 undergraduate seats per year on a 354-acre urban campus, it offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, and Ph.D. programs across engineering and pharmacy. It earned NAAC A Grade and a NIRF ranking of ~84 in 2024. Admission to engineering is now through JEE Main, and postgraduate entry via GATE/UPCET. MMMUT emphasizes academic research, state-sponsored student enrichment, and regional outreach. Recently, it pioneered Uttar Pradesh’s first Department of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) integrating traditional studies with modern tech. With steady infrastructure expansion and growing research output, MMMUT serves as a rising government-funded engineering center in Eastern UP.
