While primarily known for arts and sciences, UoH houses a well-regarded School of Engineering Sciences & Technology (SEST), launched around 2008–09. SEST offers integrated B.Tech+M.Tech programs in Materials Engineering and Ph.D. tracks in Materials, Nanoscience, and related areas. The school benefits from strong research funding, collaborative ties with institutions like DMRL, IICT, ARCI, and active global exchange programs. Faculty often hold doctorates from premier institutions and engage in high-impact work across materials, additive manufacturing, energy storage, and structural applications. Though its engineering offerings remain focused (not full-spectrum B.Tech engineering), its interdisciplinary innovation and research depth position it as a niche center of technical excellence within UoH.
