JNU, established in 1969, is renowned for humanities and social sciences but recently expanded into engineering and management, launching its School of Engineering in 2018. Located in New Delhi, these programs are now receiving dedicated infrastructure under a ₹483 crore HEFA-funded upgrade, including new academic blocks and hostels. Admissions occur via JEE Main and institute-level criteria. Though early in its development, JNU’s engineering and management schools benefit from the university’s interdisciplinary ethos, research orientation, and strong national profile. Ongoing enhancements will provide simulation labs, startup incubation spaces, and collaboration zones. With evolving infrastructure and institutional backing, JNU aims to become a competitive research-intensive engineering destination.
