JEE MAIN 2023: JEE MAIN is one of the most popular examinations to take admissions to various engineering colleges in India. JEE MAIN examinations are conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency). There are certain eligibility criteria to be eligible for appearing in the exam and taking admissions using JEE MAIN scorecard.

75% criteria for taking admissions to premier institutes
Apart from the criteria mentioned above candidates are required to secure at least 75% marks in the Class 12 examination or be in the top 20 percentile in the Class 12 examination conducted by respective Boards. For SC / ST candidates, the qualifying marks should be 65% in the Class 12 examination.
Please note that 75% criteria are applicable for participating in counselling conducted by Central Seat Allocation Board (or CSAB) for taking admissions in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs/CFTIs, which means candidates can securing less than 75% can still appear in JEE MAIN 2023 but they are not eligible to take admissions in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs.
Bombay High Court has agreed to hear the plea to relax 75% criteria on 6th April 2023.
