COMEDK UGET 2026 : Registration, Examination, Eligibility & Important Events

Overview
COMEDK has opened the registration process for UGET 2026, the entrance exam for undergraduate engineering admissions in Karnataka. Applications are being accepted online from 3 February to 16 March 2026 through the official website. The exam is scheduled to be held on 9 May 2026. This article covers important dates, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, application steps, required documents, fees, and mock test details to help candidates complete the process smoothly.
Registration Notification: COMEDK( Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental College of Karnataka) has started accepting applications for UGET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) from 3rd February 2026.
Important Events:
Last Date : The application process is online and registration & online fee payment window will remain open till 16th March 2026. This date is tentative and may be pushed forward in future. But students are advised to complete the registration well before the last date as at the last moment there may be technical glitches due to heavy traffic on the site.
Mock Test : The mock test for COMEDK exam pattern will be available for candidates on the official website(www.comedk.org) from 18th February 2026. These mock tests will only be available for registered candidates only.

Documents Required For Application
- These Documents are required to upload by all candidates:
- Color passport size photograph
- Signature on white Sheet of Paper
- 10th Marks Card
- Unique Id Proof
- These documents are required to upload by Karnataka candidates only (if applicable):
- KKR/HKR Certificate
- SC/ST/OBC Certificate
- Domicile Certificate
- Parents signature on white sheet of paper
- Parents unique ID proof
Fees
A registration fee of Rs. 1950/+Transaction charge/internet handling fee will be applicable
Registration & Application Process
Students are requested to follow the following instructions to do successful registration and application
- Visit the official website www.comedk.org and click on the Login/Register button at the top right corner.
- Enter your name. ( as per the government Id you will upload )
- Enter your email id, mobile number and click “Register”
- After successful registration you will get user id on your mail and password on your mobile number
- Then you need to logout and login again with newly created credentials
- Click on “Go To Application” on top right corner
- Fill all the details and then click on “Preview”
- After thoroughly verifying all the details click on “Submit”
- Re-login again to check status of your application
Eligibility Criteria For Undergraduate Engineering Courses
- Candidates should be an Indian Citizens or Overseas Citizens of India* (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin* (PIO)
- Candidate must have appeared for the COMEDK exam held on 9th May 2026
- Qualifying Exam - second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government; the last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry (or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics), Mathematics & English as compulsory subjects
- The General Merit candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually also
- Candidates should have passed in all the individual subjects including all optional or additional subjects. All the subjects should be passed from one single board. Marks Cards from 2 different boards will not be accepted. Example: A single candidate having Marks card of Physics and Chemistry from CBSE board and Marks Card of Mathematics from NIOS board is not eligible.
- Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there is no lateral entry
Exam Pattern & Syllabus
There will be a total of 180 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each (60-Physics, 60-Chemistry, 60-Mathematics). There will be no negative marking and medium of examination will be in English only.
